In using the Android SDK and AVD Manager, I'm not able to access the repository.xml file and consequently don't see any packages.
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml I can access this URL via the web from the system via a browser, but when I attempt from the Manager I get this error. Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: Permission denied: connect I've turned down the Micosoft firewall and still get the same error. I did look at the FAQs and ran a search on the error - but nothing came back - I feel like I must be missing something obvious. There does not seem to be any other way of updating packages except through this "fast and easy" method. If you know what the problem is or have some quick general direction on this I'd appreciate it.
