Ok, i started this thread, so i am happy to report i am up and running
now. Thanks to a local Java programmer, Barry, who works for IBM. He
found where Java was hiding on my Vista computer, right-clicked the Eclipse
shortcut, and added this to the path: -vm "C:\Program
Files\Java\jre6\bin",
I had faced a similar problem. I am using Eclipse-GanyMede with the Android
Plugin.
I then noticed that I had the JRE 1.6 update 7 or some such update installed
a day after I started using the Android SDK.
I downgraded to the first JRE 1.6 version and it all works now.

Hello Easan:
Ok, I think the problem is a small one. Eclipse can't find you JAVA
installation, so we have to tell it where it is.
Open the Eclipse folder, you should see a file named *eclipse.ini*, right
click on it and open it.
It will contain several lines, something like this:

too much to do to solve a problem you don't have.
Also please remind me, are you running Windows/

Hello Easan:
What's the problem? I'll help but last time you wrote was about the emulator
not running and I thought that was fixed.
Give some details.
Cheers,
