You may have other problems doing this as well. Android does not

It's a fine phone as well...
The idea behind these development devices isn't to necessarily use
them as day to day phones but to test your apps with WiFi. You won't
need a connection to a carrier at all to do that. Make sense?

So if we think about this logically, Droid is the only device
available on Verizon. So if I'm an android developer (which usually
means I have an android phone) and I'm on Verizon, I already have the
Droid! And if I don't have the Droid I don't have Verizon and a Droid
would be useless to me :-).
Thats very true, I guess its difficult to control how a user tries to
interact with a widget.
Maybe Google should make the whole process a little more intuitive?
