The release announcements for Android v2.3 Gingerbread state that a "new media framework fully replaces OpenCore, maintaining all previous codec/container support for encoding and decoding."
However, I cannot find what this "new media framework" is. Is it a Google proprietary framework or something that already exists (such as OSMF)? I curious to know that this "new media framework" has to offer and how it can be leveraged.
