I may not be in the right forum for this kind of question. I am not developer but a consumer. I purchased the motorola droid from verizonwireless on Nov 6. It's an amazing phone in many ways and I can certainly see it's potential. As a smartphone for business users, it seems to have a serious email flaws.
1) You cannot download e-mail attachements ( pdf, doc, excel, etc) onto your sd card! 2) The ability to sync "regular" outlook ( not the exchange) directly to the adroid. Syncing outlook with google ( 2 ways ) has had outlook issues. How about a direct sync program like blackberry, palm, and apple? Outlook is one of the most popular email clients. 3) How about select all, copy, and paste? 4) The ability to delete multiple emails at one time? For business users the ability save documents that have been emailed is extremely important. I can download a jpg (shrug). Good for social networking, but most email attachements for business users are not photos. Has anyone written an app to address any or all of these issues??? I'm considering returning motorola droid because it doesn't seem to be able to address what appears to be basic email features that the other competitors seem to have covered. I would hate to give up this phone because I do like, but bottom line is that I need it for work email.
