I recently got a tablet which didn't have inbuilt 3g or calling support. But on 
checking the internet, I found a 3g dongle in the net that had voice and 
messaging support in addition to 3g data services e1731. Now the manufacturer 
of this dongle provides drivers for making calls from a pc. I'm pretty sure 
that there ain't android or native Linux drivers for this. But my tablet 
manufacturer marks this dongle as a supported one. My question is much related 
to whether android has built-in detection capabilities for gsm voice and data 
devices connected through USB port. If so what are the additional things, that 
I'll have to do inorder to get a dialer in working condition. If not, please 
provide your suggestions on what can be done to bring such a feature to a 
device.
