I think you could try cocos2dx written in cpp, the website is http://www.cocos2d-x.org/ the tutorials are pretty thorough. and questions could be post in the forum in it. if you are familiar with cpp, you must be very easy to get used to it. now the engine is mature enough, lots of companys consider to use it to develop games.
