This is frustrating in all 5 copies of Ubuntu livecd up to 10.10 Trinity + gentoo 2008 installed and tried this guide with little success.
Is there any way to get that extremely old JDK5 installed ? This has caused me to never touch Ubuntu anything again. Gentoo help would be appreciated. IE: Get Android Source Code JDK 5.0, update 12 or higher = incorrect as JDK 1.6.* does not work with it and it only wants JDK 1.5.* . Same error in Ubuntu 10.10 trinity / gentoo LiveDVD 2008 installed clean or updated. There is no way I can get any old primitive pre JDK 1.6 livecd for any linux distro anymore / nothign worth usung either. ibm-jdk 1.5 is nowhere to be found either. I have been running JDL 1.7 beta for several months in Win7 & XP x64.
