Am I seeing what I think I am seeing. It's so unbelievable and f-ed up that I think I might be dreaming.
The prices shown on the Market App on the phone are the ones that I set in my users local currency, but the Market website is showing the US$ price converted to the local currency. So in the case of British Pounds, this is a large difference as my price set in Pounds is significantly higher than the US$ price. In my case, since I am in Singapore, I see the price as S$12.43 wiich is the price converted from US$9.99, but the actual Singapore Dollar price as set on the Market Console is S$14.88. I had a user complaining that I've overcharged them. Which I completely think that he was right about. The website confirmation purchase page will show the lower price, but then they will actually be charged the higher price when they make the purchase. How screwed up is this?????? These are the kind of things I think Techcrunch or Engadget should write the story about. It's one thing all the bullshit the develelopers have to go through with the Market, but I think not even getting the user-facing pricing right is borderline criminal. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
