My grades weren't great, though a little better than yours by the time
I graduated -- but I did well on the SAT's. And I ended up going to
MIT.
So it can happen. But you will need to work on it -- you'll have to
bring up your grades. But what you've already accomplished should be
proof to yourself
Totally agree with Robert, Ivan.
When I was about your age, I was a pretty lazy kid too (my grades were
good, though... notch one up for my b/s ability :-) and when I told my
mum I wanted to do Engineering she was really worried I'd make a
complete hash of it found out I loved the stuff (from
Ivan,
All the big companies (Google, Microsoft, IBM, etc) only hire folks
with degrees. Google and MS are fairly particular about hiring kids
with good track records from good schools. Better pull that GPA up
ASAP, get a good ACT/SAT (you can practice those for better scores,

Maybe you could go work on the Android Market Support Forum!?
I don't care how bad you
I would recommend you try to go to college though, specially if you
want to work for google.
There's definitely a lot of algorithm/math stuff that I missed out on.
Good luck on your game and your grades.

Miguel: Thanks for the encouragement!
I am working on an Android game right now.
I'm thinking about college, because I would really like to work for
Google.
But I'm not sure that will happen, my grades are quite bad (about 2.5
GPA).

Congratulations guys! You're on your way to build some great stuff.
I really wish I had a good computer teacher in High School, lucky!
Keep it up and you might not even need to go to college (MIT or
something would be cool though) to make good money.
I wrote my first program at 15 and never finish
Yeah, I'm 15 (will be 16 in May), and I haven't made much just yet,
but that is more due to the target audience of my app (GitHub users)
and the fact that a free version is available. I only make money if
someone chooses to buy the donate version (there are ads on the free
verison, but they aren't
Wow, that's pretty cool.
I'm 15 in 9th grade (high school freshman), I have a few paid apps, I
think I've made $62 or something in this month.
I wish I had a teacher like you, I've had to learn all this stuff from
the Internet on my own.

It's nice how technology has this ability to motivate and inspire kids
to achieve success--let's hope this new indu
Congratulations to you and to Christian! Maybe you could talk the
North East Independent School District into including the name or a
link to the app so that Christian could get even more sales. And how
about posting it here?

Congrats to your student! And good idea on your part, Josh, it's nice
to see kids being taught something relevant in this field--rather than
what I remember from school: car = new Car("blue"); haha...
