Hi dinozaur,
the google g1 have a seriel port on his special usb-port, but as far
as i know there is no android api. The USB Port, the msm7k chip in the
HTC G1, has USB host capabilities but there are no drivers in the
linux kernel.
When you know a solution i very interested ...

I have HTC G1 with android on board and I want to use an usb->RS232
converter to send text commands to Atmega uC.
Do you have any ideas how do it? a hava one: use command cat
file_name>port or reading cat file_name... but this works on pc, i
will try it on
