I found out that the translucent theme has an animation set on it unlike the
black background theme. Could that be the issue?

The last two lines don't happen when I switch to the translucent
theme.
What is weird is if I open my keyboard the application will change its
orientation though.
...does anybody have a clue why this is? Is there any work around
besides using a black background?
