I would suggest you to think twice about your if statement "if(a == b)". If 'a' and 'b' are not primitive data types but objects, it's highly probable that you need to change it into "if(a.equals(b))" or "if(b.equals(a))". This is a common mistake most of the people do when they are experienced in C++ but new in Java (I can tell this also based on personal experience ;-) )
