Learner1980...thanks. The 'installer_r10-Windows.exe' problem was
solved with the 'back' button and then the 'next' button. Weird but it
worked:-)
As for your error messages, i read somewhere to try 'HTTP' instead of
'HTTPS'. The 'HTTPS' option worked for me.

I also downloaded the latest version 'installer_r10-windows.exe' and
tried to install it.
I have Windows Vista 32-bit OS.
I also faced this issue once. When the installer was not able to
detect the JDK.
But when i hit Back button and then again Next, it was able to detect
it.
