Any ETL/BI is a plus. Client wants to see candidates that have spent 2+ years at most of their projects. He does not want to see someone who has been one year, then one year somewhere else etc. He is okay with some year long engagements especially if that client had a contracting term limit but he needs to see longer durations. *Skills* Skill Set : Kafka, Spark, Hive, SQL, Java, NoSql (Accumulo/HBase) - Total 5+ years of development experience in IT industry and 3+ years in hadoop - Developing both batch and real time applications on the Hadoop platform. - At least 1 year hands on experience in spark programming especially spark SQL - Experience designing and developing non-trivial ETL processes within Hadoop using tools like hive, sqoop. - Experience in No SQL technologies like accumulo/HBase - Experience in data governance, data quality in hadoop . - Data Warehousing experience is a plus - Understand the importance of tracking data lineage and providing trusted data to multiple discerning consumers. - Experience creating and maintaining pipelines of data with well documented lineage. - Solid data-modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level. - Strong leadership skills. - Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs. - Excellent analytical and technical skills. - Excellent planning and organizational skills. - Demonstrated ability to appreciate and engage in both big-picture strategic activities and detail-oriented tactical activities - Agile/Scrum experience *Job Description:* Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
