I'd like to re-open the discussion that was ignored and dropped at: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/eb7034f18896e0d0/cac00712e5ed6f78?lnk=gst&q=webkit+version#cac00712e5ed6f78
We want a documented page which describes the version of WebKit and the supported features that correspond to each official Android SDK build. The same topic has been raised several times, without a consistent way for the community to respond. See http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/search?group=android-developers&q=webkit+version&qt_g=Search+this+group Can we please have a Google Android engineer take a look at this request? Otherwise, we'll continue to guess by reading SDK source code. Of course, doing that requires first taking hours to checkout/ update a copy of the source-tree, or find a web-based resource to browse the source...then taking hours to dig through source code. iPhone's WebKit documentation tells developers what they need to know, and Android web developers want something at least as good. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
