You might want to study platform highlights by version, as well: http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.3.3.html ... the links for other versions are on the left. Unless you need specific features that were introduced relatively recently, like NFC or VoIP, I'd go with 2.0 or aybe 2.2 a
