I rebooted the machine and tried it again under eclipse but still had the same problem. So I fired up processexplorer and closed the handle eclipse had on dx.jar (always fingers crossed!) and closed any running instances of adb just to be sure and it seemed to work then. As for the sdkmanager, I

This is something we have improved in r9 but of course when updating you're using r8. If you can't make it to work, I would download the full r9 packages from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html, use the SDK Updater to get platform-tools r2 and the HC preview componet and docs, but copy ma

Started installing the new sdk tools and the like. I couldn't get it to work in eclipse as it said something had a lock on the platform-tools folder. Checked in proccessexplorer and both eclipse and adb had locks. Force closed adb but eclipse kept the lock and couldn't finish install. Might be j
