*SCOPE OF SERVICES:* The Security Architect will be responsible to build a secure, end-to-end systems and network architecture. This individual will be responsible for the security of all integration points and entry points to the LRP, will advise and recommend on best security practices and follow the NYSDFS and NIST CSF frameworks to secure NYCERS data when stored, processed and exchanged through the cloud and other NYCERS or third-party systems. The Security Architect will also review and assess the Legacy Replacement Project (LRP) IT Security design in every phase of the system development life cycle and will work closely with NYCERS InfoSec on security challenges and issues so they can be addressed in a timely manner. *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* - Minimum 12 years of experience with system design and security architecture with experience implementing a wide range of solutions both in cloud and on premise. - Provide architecture leadership and oversight for large legacy replacement project initiatives to ensure security solutions development aligns with the defined architecture strategies and industry best practices. - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience. - Professional certifications in security, preferably in any two of the following industry recognized certifications; CCSP, CISSP-ISSAP, Azure Solutions Architect Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional. - Strong understanding of secure Architecture design and reviews, identity and access management protocols, knowledge of TOGAF, Secure SDLC, OWASP, NIST. *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* - Experienced in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, with system integrator partnerships and NYCERS teams to deliver reliable and scalable security capabilities and strategies, optimizing confidentiality, integrity, and availability. - Oversee and lead the implementation of all security solutions, develop technical and reference architectures throughout the project duration. - Perform as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies, build and recommend security infrastructure from scratch and raise security risks in a timely manner. - Develop security requirements for complex internet facing applications and associated infrastructure components. - Responsible for end-to-end secure integrations including web services and APIs. - Work closely with NYCERS security team and third party system integrators on security architecture related issues and resolving the issues without impacting the overall project delivery timelines. - Oversee and lead the development of technical reference architecture and associated document.
