Client: NYS Office of Mental Health Work Location: 44 Holland Avenue Albany, NY 12229 Scheduled Work Hours: 40 hours per week Duration of Contract: 30 Months Rate: $60 on C2C or 1099 Visa: H1B & Above Due Date: 3/29/2021 Short description: This position will fill a key role of User Experience and User Interface Designer for priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Health’s mission. The key role of this position is to analyze all business requirements to design user interfaces. This will help facilitate the team to build a system that meets the user experience needs. Requested Qualification: 96 Months Experience in UX (user experience) methodologies while working directly with users to gather application requirements. 96 Months Experience in web-based application user interface design which leverage emergent technologies and accessibility standards defined in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). 96 Months Experience in user interface design using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, UXPin or other visual design and wire-framing tools 84 Months Experience with prototyping user interfaces 84 Months Experience and knowledge of using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design coding for mobile devices. 60 Months Experience in web designing using Bootstrap framework. 48 Months Experience troubleshooting styling and browser compatibility issues. 48 Months Experience with designing web based health care applications. Day to day tasks: Work in a collaborative team environment that includes project management, business analysis, information development, software development and quality assurance. Analyze business requirements to design user interfaces. Evaluate user interface designs and write user interface specifications. Build prototypes using Balsamiq and/or UXPin to demonstrate designs to the team and to users. Provide web templates of prototypes (upon team’s agreement) using Bootstrap and other web programming technologies to provide for use by the development team. Work with developers to implement the designs. Ensure that the visual structure of the UI remains consistent across multiple components/browsers and meets accessibility standards.
