The Connectivity Platform Engineering team is part of the Connectivity & Services Group (CSG) and is responsible for development and operations of DTNA’s Telematics cloud built on Microsoft Azure. Our connectivity platform team is looking for an individual with vision to act as Cloud Architect and design the future Cloud Infrastructure and work in a guild of architects to investigate new technologies and make design decisions. The right candidate will have primary responsibility for making design decisions on network, architecture, framework, tools and methods used to develop and manage the connectivity platform and will work closely with DevOps engineers, software engineers and architects. The team is looking for highly skilled individual with relevant knowledge and experience in *DevOps methods and tools, infrastructure as code, networking, automation and administration of a large cloud environment*. As the successful candidate, you should have a DevOps mindset, experience working with a highly technical team and cloud design experience. You should be aware of cyber security and data privacy concepts and have an understanding of working in a secure development lifecycle environment. *Job Responsibilities:* - Design connectivity cloud platform to meet current and evolving product needs (includes connectivity on-premise to/from cloud) - Research and analyze *IOT, PaaS and SaaS* offerings and to develop a future roadmap and architecture design - Work closely with Platform Product Owner and DevOps team to realize design vision for deployed infrastructure - Design and maintain platform for high availability and uptime - Liaise with application development, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and security teams to proactively design platform to be highly resilient and secure - Manage response to problem, incident and security management - Represent the design of the connectivity platform to teams including cybersecurity, software architecture, engineering, IT, and other Daimler Truck AG (DTAG) organizations *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. - MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. - 5-7 years of experience required - Cloud architecture design including diagraming and strategy - Experience with iterative *design, development, and deployment of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure* - Cybersecurity layering design including infrastructure and application hardening - In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles - Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills - Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in collaboration tools such as *Jira and Confluence* - Understanding of software development process and experience with DevOps tools and languages - Creative thinker and ability to develop and describe product vision -- Regards !
