*Service Now CMDB Consultant* *Location: fully remote, though candidates located in Washington state are preferred* *Job Responsibilities:* · Maintain and enhance a large ServiceNow implementation, as a member of our Platform team, focusing largely on the improvement of ITOM-related capabilities. · Ensure the accuracy and currency of our CMDB as a system of record, including integrations with other systems that need access to authoritative configuration data. · Collaborate with enterprise architects, application/infrastructure owners, and business stakeholders to model operational availability of application, business and technical services across the enterprise in a fine-grained and transparent manner. · Identify and lead other opportunities to deliver enhanced business value with ServiceNow. · Participate in a 7x24 on-call support rotation for this mission-critical system. · Perform other duties as required. *Minimum Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. · 5+ years IT experience, including several years of systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications. · Detailed understanding and 5+ years programming languages (specialized technical requirements as shown in attachment) and strong knowledge of office applications (e.g. Microsoft Office). · Possesses full technical knowledge of phases of software development life cycle. · Experience with at least two full life cycle implementations of a new application or purchased application. · Extensive knowledge of multiple languages, i.e (specialized technical requirements as shown in attachment) environment, active business processes, business areas, as well as industry. · Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts. Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools. Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies. · Demonstrated understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL). · Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions. · Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills. · Strong analytical problem-solving, and conceptual skills. · Demonstrated project management skills for moderate sized projects. · Must be a “team player” able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems. Able to work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions. · Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude. · Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task. · Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical. *Desired Qualifications:* · Strong communication and analysis skills, with the ability to negotiate solutions that meet customer needs while leveraging the technical capabilities of the underlying platform. · Significant development and administration experience with ServiceNow, or equivalent REST-style Web application development using Angular HTML, Javascript, JSON, and XML. · Significant experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities, preferably in a successful enterprise deployment. Experience with CSDM 3.0 modeling is a bonus. · Knowledge of modern security and networking technologies.
