Hi,

Android is "normal OS" - it depends on what you call OS at all.
Probably if you think about Android as a "middleware" it will be
easier to understand.
Underneath is running "normal" Linux with Android patches and on top
of it Dalwik virtual machine is running
Android services and Apps.
