Apologies if this is more suited to another list... I've simply seen more radio-related questions on this list and figured it was the one to ask.
Anyway, I'm working on a project which involves removing zygote from the init process and starting our own UI instead. One of the most important goals for us is being able to make phone calls; to that end, I'm trying to figure out how to talk to the radio device on my Nexus S phone. I found the "radiooptions" command, and watching "logcat -b radio" while issuing commands to reset, turn on and off, and dial a phone number does show some activity... but the target phone never rings. Can anyone tell me if there's something I need to do to make radiooptions work, or if I'll need to somehow interface with rild through /dev/socket/rild?
