PL2303 usb to serial driver is already present in the (android)linux main
line source, simply select it from menuconfig of kernel.
device drivers --> USB support --> USB Serial Converter support --> USB
Prolific 2303 Single Port Serial Driver (or similar)
and compile.

Hi,
I can write/read AT commands and response from the shell prompt using a
plane c program, but my android logo of gsm coverage itself does not show
any coverage. so i suspect that the android system yet somehow could not
detect the presence of my modem.
