never mind, got it to work using below cmd
ndc resolver setnetdns eth0 localhost IP1 IP2

With KitKat, I used the following command for DNS:
ndc resolver setifdns eth0 localhost IP1 IP2
This command does not work with Android 5.0
I was not able to find out the solution online. Can someone please help me
with this?
