Hi

I am trying to build and install one of the Android trees hosted on CodeAurora
(apq8064) for the Nexus 7 ( Flo) but it hangs in the bootloader.

I have built the tree using the Flo binaries supplied by Google using the
standard process ( I have built and run various vanilla Android 4.X.X trees
successfully for this same device). It builds ok, but in order to get this
to flash I needed to make a change in
    out/target/product/msm8960/android-info.txt
from
    board=MSM8960
to
    board=MSM8960|flo

That seems to work ok, but then booting fails, stalling at the lock icon.
There is no adb logcat output produced by this stage,

To help investigate this issue myself I am trying to understand the
relationship
between the Android and codeauroa/Qualcomm/MSM trees, in particular, what
is the purpose of the kernel/MSM tree hosted on
https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/msm.git  Can anybody tell me
whether this this something I should try bringing into my codeaurora source
tree, or is this something taken from codeaurora and kept in googlesource
for convenience.

I'd would appreciate any pointers or ideas.

-John
