Hi, I m newbie in porting and in need of a little help.
I m trying to run Eclairs 2.1 on Samsung InstinctQ, from scratch. So far we had loaded the Kernel and Modem binary into the phone.. After building we get 3 images, system, user-data and ramdisk, But the tool to flash it takes rfs files inside tar ball which ideally is Factory.rfs, cache.rfs, and data.rfs We have tool to convert system.img to Factory.rfs , but in previous scripts it shows that there is another 2 images by name data.img and cache.img apart from above 3. i,e. data.img and cache.img are used to make respective rfs files and not user-data and ramdisk img's My problem is i m not able to determine how to obtain data.img and cache.img , because all we got after build was system, user-data and ramdisk img's.
