Actually, it's the opposite. Master is the bleeding edge, while
cupcake is more stable (notice that master has changes that cupcake
doesn't have).

I feel Master is supposed to be more stable, while cupcake would
keep changing faster.
If you can keep pace with cupcake changes you better work on it so that you
are uptodate with latest changes which will eventually be merged in Master.
