Hi,
I strongly suspect the fact systemd-update-utmp-runlevel.service is failing is
the cause of my problems.
Can anyone advise how I can debug this ?

I have a feeling that this should be simple, and more an issue with my
ignorance of systemd than anything else.
It's not systemd, it's connman. What does

Hi,
What is the best way to change the kernel setting in keeping with the
Angstrom way of doing things ?
If you want a one-off way:
% bitbake virtual/kernel -c menuconfig
% bitbake virtual/kernel -f -c compile
% bitbake virtual/kernel
which requires the process to run as root, and gives that process
access to anywhere in RAM.
Ideally a ‘null’ example with guidance on how to build it, but any help at all
would be useful.
