Apart from optimization what are the other benefits of compile and link function ? Many articles suggest compile can be used for DOM transformation and as an example they add a class to some element ,why do we need to add class in compile phase ? why don't we add class directly in template ? If compile phase is for DOM transformation and Link function for data binding, what do we split link function into Pre and Post link functions ?
