It's because you use JDK 1.2
it has already been discussed on the list and is in the release notes of
JAXP 1.1 (Feb 2001)

If you get a nonfatal internal JIT error when running with versions of
Java 2 SDK version 1.2, you can either
Perhaps you are running JDK1.2.2 on Win NT. Upgrade to JDK 1.3 and the non-fatal error will be gone.
