L.D. & Ricsi,
I too feel limited with DOS and OS/2, feel a need to go with Linux and maybe
NetBSD or FreeBSD. Graphic Web browsing is limited and clumsy with Arachne and
Netscape 4.04, maybe would go better with a newer Netscape (4.61) on a newer,
faster computer. I use Lynx a lot. I notice th

(You can get a 16-bit version of CORE from the Arachne site, though.)
I'm just getting started with Arachne, and am very impressed with it's
capabilities. As I get more familiar with it I expect that I would like to
be able to customize it some. Where does one learn how to do that? For
example...

I must apologize to every member of this list. My 'bug fixed' message
should have been kept 'off list'.
Michael was 100% correct by 'chastising' me.
I promise not to do it again.
That said, I'll comment on your comments.
Rest assured that Michael *IS* working to make Arachne a 'real alternativ

Not only that, but reading data erased that cell of the magnetic core
memory. The programmer had to include a loop-back that would restore the

Hi folks:
I just received a spam message having a notice saying that anyone
attempting to shut down his spam site will cause reprisals to be carried
out against others wishing to be removed from his list of victims.
I quote the threat from his message:

Looks like I better take this here now "out in the open" ;-)
Michael I have a suggestion for when this can be done (perhaps). As you may
remember between January and May next year I'm supposed to work on a
project of

Hi All,
I have used Arachna offline for a several weeks. She worked fine.
Recently I decided to go online and try her. She dialed the
number, connected, loaded homepage and then stop responding for a
2-3 minutes. After that she again worked fine during 10-15
minutes (I visited 3-4

Note specially for L.D.Best:
STRINGSIZE is used as size for various strings, like hostname.
Entire URL is declared to be URLSIZE characters long.

Has anyone else had a problem with Arachne FTP upload ?

Hi folks,
my brother-in-law just sent me this link. Perhaps it's useful for
someone. There are drivers for ADSL and ISDN. Description sounds
interesting.

Hi L.D.,
I'm tested some versions of Arachne and never had lost sectors

that there is a hardware problem in Your machine. I mentioned a similiar
case with Geos some months before. Would You mind describing me Your HD
