As many of us have already heard, and as many of us have already
found out for ourselves, some modems just don't work with LSppp
even though they work fine with EPPPD.
Following up on a suggestion someone recently posted, I have just
discovered tonight that LSppp can be made to work with
I have noticed a decrease in posts to arachne, survpc, and other
``older'' software/hardware listservrs.
I wonder if this is a symptom of surrender to the everchanging
software/hardware times? For instance, given the lack of a new

I have come into possession of a new DOS that has the same speed ability
as IBM PC-DOS 3.3 without its 32 Mb limitation.
Unless this DOS turns out to be buggy, it should be the best speed
choice for anyone that doesn't need FAT32 or LFN support.
That's pretty much anyone in their right mind.
