www.mail2web.com lets you read your email from any pop server via the
web. Comes in very handy if you are away from your computer, you need
to check your email, and you don't use an online email service.

What has happened to development of Arachne for DOS? I have been

Sorry, I should have stated my problem more clearly. Using the smtp and
pop3 functions with myrealbox was not the problem.
The problem is using Arachne as a browser to read and respond to email
online using the myrealbox.com web mail site.

The Arachne web site is doing something again that it has done when a new
version has come out.
When I viewed it with 1.69, it told me I had the latest version. Now that
I'm viewing it with 1.70, it tells me I have an old version.

The version test on the arachne web site is backwards. When I browsed
it with 1.66, it told me had the current version. Since I upgraded to
1.67, it tells me I'm using an old version and I should upgrade.

Using 1.66 for DOS, most of the text on
this page is unreadable. I was able to
read what it says only by editing the html
to eliminate a reference to background gif.

TED]", sendmail first tries
to connect to the mail server bronze.coil.com . A few minutes later,
after failing to make the connection, it tries pico.concourse.com and then
the msg goes through. But if I use the ancient format
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]", sendmail contacts the right email host
right away.

y it logged onto an appropriate smtp server for each one.
I wonder why Arachne or any other DOS or Win smtp transport client
couldn't do the same.

So instead of telling them that you use DOS, tell them that you use Lynx on
a Linux. That might get their attention.
