I simply re-installed and eliminated ramdrive to get back on. Curious, sometimes this 486 works fine, sometimes it is a bear. I think it is some quirk with the installation but I haven't tracked it down. One thing I noticed is that this drive tends to create a second cache.idx in the mail directory for some reason. I thought Arachne was set up to use ONE and only ONE cache.idx. The other stuff is mostly a mystery to me. The hard drive setup in CMOS is non-standard and I use a third party utility called EZ-drive. Yours, thomas
