AFAIK the efforts of breaking the Enigma cypher are at the origin of the "Von
Neumann architecture" concept and led to the birth of the computer as we know
it today.

Hey, aren't the spaces supposed to be encoded, too? Why not the whole ASCII
table? 2^21 combinations is not so bad after all:-)
