All,
We have some pretty good brains working on this problem, and we're
going to lick it ... Looks like FAT32 is the culprit. Just to
put the idea that it's something to do with CDROM's, I diconected mine
and rebooted; ran Arachne and she hung as usuall at 'your computer'.

by typing the drive letter b
