You're right. That was precisely the problem. In fact, I
had duplicate entries for everyone of my partitions (i.e., /, /boot,
swap). Also, I have experienced this problem every time I
installed Arch. I must be doing something wrong.

Later ... now I see that this demon loads whenever I load Kontact. How do I
get it to not do that? This is new behavior, as of KDE 3.5r1.

I've been able to work past these questions. There may need to be some better
descriptions written on how to enable ETH0.
The souce compilation must have had something to do with changing compilers or
header files somewhere. I downloaded the lastest source (once I got the
ethernet up and goi

Seems to work smoothly. Nearly all the Bugs I found in beta2 are gone. :-)
