I got a problem with the ati drivers. After shutting down a X session
and returning to kdm the whole system freezes and I have to turn out the
computer: nothing else works. I know that this is a known bug in the new
ati drivers. ATI 8.18 an earlier did work. Is there a workaround or

browser or in file browser mode. I remember at some point in the past
that it did work, but I am unable to get it working again.
As for fonts, I have fonts installed that support those characters,
