Thanks for the tip, I'll try it tonight.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I know that my equipment works because
I have no problem on debian.
Thanks,

Hi All,
The same problems exist with dvdstyler on PClinuxOS so I'll get on the
dvdstyler forums or mailing list and see if I can get this figured out.
Thanks again for the replies.

I'll install PClinuxOS and see if these problems are
with dvdstyler or if they are Arch Linux specific.

on /dev/dvd and check properties it says that it points
to /dev/cd/dvd-sr0, also in my right click menu I have the options to
create 1) new symlink 2) new hardlink or 3) redirect link.
Thanks again.

Just to clarify,
I would "modprobe sg" but I'm not sure how to burn with /dev/sg0.
The burn command in the dvdstyler preferences is:
growisofs -V "$VOL_ID" -dvd-compat -Z $DEV -dvd-video "$DIR" $SPEEDSTR
would I modify this line somehow?
Thanks,
Arthur
Hi,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ ls -l /dev/dvd
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 2007-11-07 22:16 /dev/dvd -> /dev/cd/dvd-sr0
I'm not sure what this means but I did make myself a member of the video
and optical groups.
Thanks for the reply,
Arthur

Nevermind, dvdstyler no longer works as root either so I will move on to
Qdvdauthor and try my luck.
Thanks.
