Hello,
I've just upgarded kdebase:
[08/20/06 12:53] upgraded kdebase (3.5.3-4 -> 3.5.4-5)
and I no longer have kfontview and kfontinst in /opt/kde/bin
In the KDE Control Centre, under System Administration I used to be
able to install fonts (as root or as user) and view them... that's no
longer t
r taking the time to explain things to me
(even if I must admit I don't understand all the subtleties!)
Thanks,
Steve

Hello Tobbi,
Thanks for your quick reply - I'm out of my depth here, but here are
the outputs you've asked for (I'm giving the whole output just in

pacman -Qi loudmouth
Name : loudmouth
Version: 1.0.1-1
Hello,
I had a problem running Inkscape (see details below) due to libraries
not being called what the program expects. I tried upgrading the
Inkscape and relevant library packages, but no difference. In the end
I created symlinks to the files which Inkscape couldn't find and now
it works. Where d
so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If I comment out
both, fonts are ok. )
Arch Wiki pages say that RenderAccel should be switched off if the
system crashes - so far I've not had any problems (touch wood).

Oops, just noticed the link above doesn't work because of the bracket
at the end.
Link should be http://membres.lycos.fr/sw8511

Hello,
I'm having Java problems on my Archlinux installation - there are
three manifestations of the problem:
- Java applets take 3 minutes to start in Firefox.
- Java ControlPanel (/opt/java/jre/bin/ControlPanel on my system)
