Here is a patch for devtools to use pkgext defined in makepkg.conf instead
of hard coded tar.gz. This should make it possible to use something else
in future.

Hi,
I have just push the glibc-2.10(.1) toolchain rebuild into [testing].
Apart from the glibc bump, I also updated gmp and took a newer gcc-4.4
snapshot which fixes a few compile issues.

Here is some similar patch for our dbscripts. This is also completly untested.
Note: this does not support mixing of different pkgext types; so for a
possible transition from e.g. gz to xz another workaround is needed to support
both.

I fear by this the z parameter is still used with bsdtar which might not work
if the file is not gzip compressed.
