Just a guess: with my Lenovo initially I had a similar problem which turned out to be a missing driver. Installing some 3rd party AUR package it worked fine. Have you checked lspci? Kernel mods? Which module is built in? Ever searched for it? With my HP I am having some bios problems (caused by
