Until last week, my X setup worked fine. No special configuration needed.
I have a 3rd generation Core i7 notebook with a dual monitor setup.
After a recent update, everything works differently, and not for the better.
Before, with a VGA monitor plugged in (with or without a second HDMI
monitor)
I should have added more details. I am using OpenBox on an X86_64 install.
Two different systems (desktop and notebook) but otherwise largely similar
setups.

I started experiencing a severe problem with Chromium recently that makes
web browsing a very tedious experience.
It took a while to narrow it down, but it seems that whenever the print
dialog is invoked, either manually (eg ctrl-P on the keyboard) or by a page
when clicking on the "printer friend
Hi Archers,
I have a Logitech Quickcam 9000. It works great under Linux. Suddenly, it
seems to have stopped working so great.
I now get errors like this:

I just upgraded MySQL on my Arch box to the latest version (5.1.33-1),
and all of a sudden, MySQL won't start.

Hello,
I recently upgraded my system and the fonts are now being rendered
differently. They looked great before but are now blurry. I don't
think it's because anti-aliased fonts are enabled before whereas
before they weren't, because they were enabled before and looked
great.
Does anyone have any
Hello everyone,
I've got a big problem I hope someone can help with.
I've been a huge fan and user of Arch since early 2004. I really like
it and it works great for me. I have several production servers also
running it, with no problem whatsoever.
However, I have one ancient server running a cre
Hello,
I just obtained a Fujitsu P7120 notebook (a very nice model, by the way).
Overall, I am getting this working with Arch just fine (although I
would definitely appreciate pointers from anyone else who has
installed Arch, especially as I have been using a desktop until now
and haven't had the
Hello,
At some point, the keyboard indicator lights stopped working. I know
they aren't broken (and I've even used three separate keyboards). They
used to work, but stopped at some point, but I don't remember when.
Does anyone have any suggestion for this?
Thanks,
Scott
Hello JaDa,
Thanks for the reply. I did try your suggestion, but it didn't work.
The problem is not Firefox or Opera (note that BOTH are affected, and
I did uninstall and reinstall Opera as well, along with deleting all
the detrius before reinstalling). It has something to do with the
