I noticed mention was made about 'bitmap fonts like terminus will be broken.
Does that mean that nvidia driver won't work? or is it still safe to upgrade.

I read the notes on the web about upgrading, and started with this, but it
want's to remove qt ??? what does this mean, for example I use qt4 in my
gambas programming, so unsure where to head.

loading the kde desktop has nothing on it, dosn't respond to any keypresses.
I created a new user, tried again> same thing.

even had /etc/pacman.d/ directories, not sure when they changed.
Had one problem - gcc-libs had to be manually upgraded, because x wouldn't
start and was missing a file I think called libgcc_s.so.1.

May laptop is 1.8 celeron + ati, I upgraded system > no X, tried reconfiguring
X to no avail (X wouldn't boot at all, just seemed to lock up). I downgraded
back to kernel26-2.6.23.8-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz, and kde load
did system upgrade and X wouldn't boot. Tried re-configuring no luck.
Downgraded back 1 kernel and all works again, except virtual box won't appear
(though the processes are running).
Don't know if it's my laptop (has ati video card in it).
Any explanation/help/hints
