It may seem silly, but is numlock on? It could be that because the keyboard doesn't have a numberpad, it's emulating one like many laptop keyboards: having it take over the right half of the board when numlock is enabled. I don't know why upgrading Gnome would make numlock on by default, but

After Gnome 3.10 -> 3.12 upgrade my Bluetooth keyboard layout became crazy. There are no English letters, instead it types some numbers. Sounds silly, but if I press in gedit letter "p" is prints "*", "o" is "6", "l" is "3", "q", "w" and others do out output anything. The keyboard is visible
