I can imagine you could try to push for it being included with
wireguard-tools, since it provides the scripts being run, or use a
configuration management tool like Ansible to push unit files into
your machine, which could also make sure the unit is enabled too.

Hi everyone,
wireguard users need to manually re-resolve the DNS when using endpoints
with changing IPs. The wiki page lists an example solution using a
systemd timer[0]. I like that solution a lot and use it heavily on
multiple machines, and as I prefer to have system files managed by
pacman
