After a year or two on the backburner I am back to have another go at
setting up Arches. This lockdown and lack of work malarkey might be playing
into my hands by giving me some decent time at last!
I have my trial setup on the laptop I have set up Ubuntu 20.04 in

Hello, I have run out of time to get Arches up and running. I think I have
a sort of setup but have not polished the installation script as I wanted
nor tested things like maps and so on. I am now off to sea (guiding and
lecturing on an Antarctic cruise ship) but will have another go next year.

The install script installs nodejs-legacy, which I understand has been
problematic for some. I tried modifying the script and removed the -legacy
bit but it still installed version 4.2.6.
I have worked out how to download and install a newer version of nodejs by
downloading and unpa

Is there any reason not to accept all of them?

I have started installing the dependencies as per the script on the git
hub, one step at a time.
The first few went OK. When running the line:
$sudo apt-get install python-pip -y
I got a couple of messages:
