Hi all, I think I have found the root of the problem- Ariel cannot work with the new Adobe (9.0). Any pdfs from older versions work fine, pdfs made with Adobe 9.0 don't work. Here is a picture of the error message, which reads File could not be converted to TIFF format. Err #-9.

Roberto, The problem you described is sometimes caused by interactions with antivirus software, especially Macafee. I haven't saved messages regarding the fix because we use Symantec, but either this note will spark the memory of the fix from someone else, or you can search for it in the list
